I started with Cubism and I have returned to Cubism. There is something delightful about the way the mind works when looking at a cubist painting. If I look at a landscape or portrait or a still life, my eyes move and maybe even my body as I look from different angles, or close up or far away. With Cubism, my mind moves; or is moved for me.
The references are gone, objects are no longer dependant upon past associates for meaning, there is a joyous ‘now’ that infiltrates the viewing and one transcends definition completely. This is the occult nature of, what is called, analytical Cubism; though I prefer simply Cubism with a capital ‘C’.
