"About?"

An 'about' page is self-explanatory. However, the inspiration comes from aboutideasnow.com

If you have got this far, then you do indeed wish to know more.

I was born into a strange family, some of the details of which are in my novella, ‘Edgar’. I was a full-time flamenco guitarist at one point, and I lived in my car, using the local truck stop for washing facilities. I would ‘busk’ for my dinner, in other words, I would sit on the street and play for money; rain or shine. A chance encounter then took me to Costa Rica, where I spent two years performing, as well as writing hieroglyphics in a scorpion infested cabin by candlelight from a candle attached to a skull. Another chance encounter then gave me the opportunity to be Ridley Scott’s driver on the film, 1492 The Conquest of Paradise.

And then to LA, and Sunset Boulevard until I found myself back in London working as a financial advisor. That was great for three weeks, and then I walked out on the job and sat on Hampstead Heath plotting my next move. I then ended up in Wisconsin where I spent about nine years in a spiritual community i.e. cult. Good times. Then back to the UK, and I am a full-time animal Rescue Officer for the RSPCA until all the death became a bit much for me.

Then, after a string of restaurant work, I went self-employed again and started building and maintaining websites until I ended up living in Jordan and studying Classical Arabic. All went swimmingly until I returned to the UK and suddenly found myself sleeping on a park bench for a month or two. Eventually I found housing and started to teach myself classical Chinese, as you do. I love Tang Dynasty poetry, and I wanted to read the original and write my own in classical Chinese. I then published my own line of poetry, in English.

Then a loud voice tells me to oil paint, so I taught myself and exhibited in London, Devon, Yorkshire and Watford where I currently reside. My writing then came back with full force under various pseudonyms, and now I write as well as curate my own art, which I am gradually selling so that a new body of work can emerge.

All of this is the tip of a huge iceberg, and a lot as been left out. My novella, Edgar, reveals more, but some things are indeed best left hidden. Resonate? Interested? What to know more? get in touch
